This corner of the control room supports the equipment necessary to control the video signals for live television newscasts. The large console in the center of the picture is used to combine multiple video sources into one composite image to send to the transmitter. All cameras, tape decks, graphics computers, and satellite feeds flow through this console. Also pictured is a video still storage system, a digital video effects systems to compress and position video, digital video recorders and audio/video router control systems. All of these systems are controlled by a single operator from the main console.

As of July 2007, the ABC Action News control room was completely re-equipped to handle the enormous bandwidth required for uncompressed high-definition television.
