| This Upper Navigation light
once belonged to
the 51st Fighter Interceptor Wing at Naha Air Force Base on Okinawa.
It was acquired by my father from surplus stock when the Wing
inactivated on May 31, 1971.
This auction includes the fully functioning navigation light, a metal housing with switch and electric relay wired to the light, and a separate 110Volt AC to 24 Volt DC power supply. |

| When the toggle switch is thrown, the top white position light illuminates, and the recessed beacon elevates out of the lower housing. When the beacon is fully deployed, a bright/dim rotation is started. As the F-102 reaches supersonic speed, the navigation beacon and position light are extinguished and retract back into the lower housing. | ![]() |
